How to Increase Your Sex Drive With Herbal Supplements

By

It's possible to enhance your sex drive with herbal supplements. Herbal supplements are safe because they're made of all-natural ingredients that your body can use positively. Why would you want to increase your sex drive? Most people know that couples who have a healthy relationship in the bedroom are more likely to have a healthy relationship in other ways.

A waning sex drive, while natural with age, can greatly affect the long-term potential of your relationship, and could cause feelings of inadequacy or resentment. Sex, as a physical act, releases endorphins, which relieve pain and stress. Your sex drive decreases as you age. As a woman, you'll undergo menopause, which is the number one cause of a decreased sex drive.

Female Arousal Disorder Syndrome (FSAD) is a common problem affecting up to a quarter of all American women. FSAD is defined as the inability to become aroused and/or achieve orgasm. Sometimes, FSAD can even decrease the libido, blocking the desire to even attempt sexual activity. There are many causes for FSAD, and they come from a variety of places. Being stressed out, tired, anxious, nervous or depressed can decrease a sex drive.

Taking medications can sometimes alter your sex drive. Some women who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual violence fail to want sex, even when the opportunity presents itself with a loving partner. Women who were raised in conservative households that failed to be open about sex may feel guilty or ashamed in regards to their sexuality, and have a total lack of desire. In those cases, therapy is recommended, and it's good to have an understanding partner.

Sometimes, though, FSAD is purely physical. Having poor circulation can negatively affect a woman's sex drive, as the key to arousal is blood flow to the clitoris, resulting in maximum sensation. Improved blood flow to the genital area can result in increased sensation and orgasm potential. Menopause causes vaginal dryness and lowers the libido, often resulting in FSAD. Vaginal dryness can make intercourse painful and unpleasant. If intercourse is frequently unsatisfying, it could eliminate the desire to have it.

To improve your sexual desire with herbal supplements, you'll need to know what they do.

  • Sage Leaf Extract: Sage leaf is used to regulate a women's menstrual cycle and improve circulation.
  • Bayberry Bark: Bayberry bark is used to address different female health issues.
  • Cayenne Pepper: Cayenne Pepper has been shown to regulate a women's menstrual cycle.
  • Ginger root: Ginger Root promotes healthy blood flow.
  • Damiana Leaf: Damiana leaf is a traditional aphrodisiac.
