We live in a world that is based on convenience. Almost everything we put in and on our bodies has been unnaturally manufactured, processed, and preserved. Furthermore, we consume and use products everyday like medications, food, and cleaning products that contain harmful and toxic chemicals and metals. It is no wonder why infections, skin problems, and medical conditions are on the rise. As a matter of fact, research shows that there is a link between metal toxicity and Candida Yeast Infections.
What are Candida Yeast Infections?
Candida are a type of large, round, white or cream color yeast colonies that that cause numerous amounts of infections to the human body. The National Candida Society states that there are certain amounts of Candida that live naturally in the intestinal track and normally do not cause any problems. However, when provoked it can change into a fungal form and make its way through the intestinal walls into the rest of the body. The NCS goes on to say that Candida Yeast Infections can take on many forms of infections and symptoms. Some of the most common infections caused by Candida are thrush, fungal infections on the nails and skin, ear infections, and yeast infections. Candida Yeast Infections can affect the intestinal and endocrine systems causing other symptoms and like menstrual irregularities, sinusitis, joint pains, flatulence, cystitis, and migraines. Candida has thought to influence other diseases like ME/CFS and Endometriosis. Most known causes of Candida Yeast Infections are from unnatural sources. Some known sources include: medications, chemical poisoning from products used in the home and garden, mercury poisoning, and heavy metal poisoning like lead or cadmium.
Research Proves Link between Metal Toxicity and Candida Yeast Infections
Research projects done by health practitioners have found a correlation between individuals having high levels of heavy metals or mercury in their system and Candida Yeast Infections. It was found that eighty percent of individuals that had Candida Yeast Infections also tested high on mercury levels in their systems. It is perplexing to many how anyone could accidentally be exposed to mercury, other heavy metals, or chemicals to the extent where a Candida Yeast Infection can occur. However, when you look at what we are exposed to within our environment every day, the foods we eat, the medicines we take, and the cleaning products that we use it really isn't that perplexing. Pollution from manufacturing and power plants goes into the air causing us to breathe in mercury, lead, and silver as well as other chemicals. Over time these toxins will affect your body and overall health.
Prevention and Treatment for Candida Yeast Infections
Since the main causes of Candida Yeast Infections are because of the environment that we live in, the food we eat, the medicines we take, and the products we use prevention may not be as easily controlled as we would like it to be. The only types of prevention measures we have are to make sure we are surrounding ourselves with and are consuming the most natural and healthy products that are available to use.
