How Is Ginseng Good For A Man?

By

Ginseng is an herb that is found growing in eastern Asia and in North America, with many different varieties of it. Several varieties include American ginseng, Chinese ginseng, Korean red ginseng and Asian ginseng. The root can take anywhere between three to ten years to grow, and is in high demand for its many uses. Ginseng is commonly used for mental health and immune support. Its literal meaning is "man root" because of its appearance.

Direct Uses

  • Immune system support in recovering from an illness and decrease in fatigue
  • Mental health, stress relief, alertness and increases memory
  • Natural energy boost, increase in overall stamina
  • An aphrodisiac for both men and women
  • Helps with erectile dysfunction due to aging

There are a number of different ways to consume ginseng. It can be dried and made into pill form (supplement), made into an extract that can be added to food and drinks, powder and liquid forms (most commonly, tea). There are also some forms that can be used externally, like creams. It is most popular in the form of tea because people find it to be very calming when drank.

Ginseng and Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is the inability to get and/or maintain an erection sufficient for the partner. Ginseng is helpful to men with sexual and erectile dysfunctions due to aging since it is a natural stimulant. Erectile dysfunction is commonly found in men over the age of 50, worldwide. Erectile dysfunction is a frustrating problem for couples and it can cause strain on a relationship and can lower a man's self confidence.

Stimulate Your Senses

Studies have shown that males who have used Korean red ginseng (in particular) for their erectile dysfunction have reported increased stamina and sexual desire. It works by going straight to the nervous system, which is what has the influence on sexual functions. Ginseng has also been known to be an aphrodisiac or sexual stimulant for women as well. Difficulty with erections can be a constant or sporadic problem for some men. The use of ginseng can dramatically aid the problem.
