Does Having A Shrunken Penis Affect Your Urinary Tract?
By HelloLife
The Urinary System
The urinary system, also known as the excretory system, is one of the organ systems of the human body. It is responsible for the correct production, storage, and elimination of urine from the body. The Urinary tract is composed of several parts, including two ureters, two kidneys, the urethra and the bladder. To thoroughly describe the effects of shrunken penis, it is first necessary to understand the urinary system.
The Kidneys
The kidneys are complex; responsible for many biological functions within the human body. The primary function of the kidneys is to maintain fluid homeostasis in the body by filtering the blood. This fluid homeostasis is more complex than you might initially think. Fluid homeostasis includes the regulation of blood pressure, blood volume, electrolyte concentrations, and acid-base balancing. Additionally, the kidneys must accomplish this feat in conjunction with many other bodily organs. Particularly, the kidneys must excrete waste products produced from metabolism, including uric acid and urea.
The Urinary Bladder
The urinary bladder is the organ responsible for the collection of urine excreted from the kidneys via the ureters. The ureters are tracts that link the kidneys to the urinary bladder. The urinary bladder is a muscular and distensible (elastic) hollow organ that stores urine for the excretion process.
The Urethra
The urethra is the tube that connects the outside of the body to the urinary bladder. The urethra runs through the penis, particularly the corpus spongiosum. The urethra is also responsible for the passage of sperm.
Shrinkage Dysfunction and the Urinary Tract
Due to the fact that the urethra is contained within the penis, it is possible for shrinkage dysfunction to affect the overall movement of sperm and urine. There is scientific evidence to connect the presence of sexual dysfunctions with lower urinary tract infections.
The Urinary Tract Infection
The urinary tract infection is isolated to the urinary system and is typically accompanied by pain, especially burning and irritation upon urination. Although urinary tract infections are more common in women, men are also capable of developing urinary tract infections. Urinary tract infections can be caused by a variety of foreign substances including viruses, bacteria, some parasites and fungi. The development of urinary tract infections is accompanied by certain risk factors. Anything that serves to impede the natural flow of urine increases overall risk for the development of urinary tract infections. One such risk factor associated with impeding natural urine flow is shrinkage dysfunction.
Shrinkage Dysfunction
The fact of the matter becomes that shrinkage dysfunction is capable of affecting your urinary tract. However, shrinkage dysfunction is not limited to affecting only the urinary system. Shrinkage dysfunction is noted to cause reproductive problems and sometimes psychological complications. It is important to remember that shrinkage dysfunction is a treatable condition. It is also important to seek information and educate yourself as to the complications and treatment options for shrinkage dysfunction. Discuss any and all questions you may have with your physician before beginning any method of treatment.
