Bri LuginbillWatermelons are juicy and delicious and one of my favorite fruits to eat during the summer. I knew they were good for your health, but I never thought they could potentially help to lower blood pressure. According to an article on Naturalnews.com, nine adults took watermelon extract for six weeks and it lessened their blood pressure. Apparently, watermelon contains an amino acid, L-citrulline, which helps to regulate blood pressure in the body.
I always loved eating watermelon, but this makes me want to eat it even more!
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Laura HoggThat's pretty awesome! I never would have guessed that watermelons could have such benefits. I've never really been that crazy about them because they're so, well, watery. Too much water, not enough melon for me, haha. But this may be enough to make me want to eat it!

Karawow never knew that! watermelon is one of my favorite fruits. As long as it's red and juicy. I haven't had the best luck recently with my watermelon picking. They have been dry and the color has been a light red. Anyways very good to know, thanks!
