I'm having a hack of a time with my skin barrier around my ileostomy wound. I had one skin barrier fail last week, and another feels like it may do the same today. I use Adapt paste to help keep the skin around the wound protected, but it doesn't always work out as well as I hope and I have a sneaking suspicion that it may be leading to the failures.
That said, I want to keep using the paste - I just don't know the best way to apply it to get the most wear time from my appliance. Any recommendations?
