HelloLife GuestHow can you recognize the symptoms of seasonal allergies verses cold symptoms?
-

Dr. Jeff Chamberlain, MDIt can be difficult at times for even doctors to recognize the difference between allergy and cold symptoms! However, there are a few key differences:
Colds tend to:
• Have more severe symptoms. • Have more total body symptoms such as “fatigue, muscle aches, shivering, loss of appetite, fever†• Have the symptoms peak out after 3 to 5 days and gradually get better with most of the symptoms resolving in 7 to 10 days.
Seasonal allergies tend to:
• Start within 30min to an hour of exposure. • Do not have total body symptoms. • Have more itching.
Stay Healthy, Dr. Jeff M.D.
