Is my child gifted or do they have ADHD?
It can be both! A lot of kids with ADHD are gifted in a lot of ways. A lot of times they’re creative, they’re active, sometimes they’re, socially, very good with people because they’re active. It could be that a teacher is upset because the kid is interrupting class or something, but the parent likes the fact that the kid has a great personality when they’re around people.
I’ve seen conflict with that. Usually, what I recommend is: One, find out, do they really have ADHD or not. Two, what are the things that are causing problems and what can we do to solve those problems while still keeping the personality and creativity the child has.
